Linkweave
Link your files, folders and web pages to each other.
Press a hotkey on a file, folder or web page to copy a smart link to it, or hook it to something related. Later, everything hooked to it is a keystroke away.
LinkweavePress Ctrl+Alt+L while you are looking at a document, a folder in File Explorer or a page in your browser. Linkweave shows what is open, so you can copy a link to it or hook it to another item: the brief and its client folder, a page and the notes about it.
Hooks work both ways. Press the hotkey on either item and the other is listed, one click from opening. Links to files keep working when the file is moved or renamed on the same drive.
What it does
Hotkey popup
One shortcut shows the item in front of you, with its icon, title and location, and everything hooked to it.
Copy link
Copy a Markdown link, a plain path or web address, or a rich link that pastes as a clickable title.
Two-way hooks
Hook an item to another by searching for it or pasting its link. Both sides list each other.
Search
Find any item you have looked at or hooked by its title, and open it.
Links that follow files
Moves, renames and safe saves on the same drive are followed. A link that can't be found shows Missing, with Locate… and Remove.
Clean web links
Tracking parameters are removed, so the same page is always one item.
Never a wrong guess
If Linkweave can't tell for sure what an app has open, it says so or lets you choose, instead of linking the wrong thing.
