Select text, then act on it in one click.
Select text and a small bar appears above it: copy, search, translate, change case, count words and more, without switching apps.
TaplineDrag across some text, or double- or triple-click it, and a small bar appears just above the selection. One click copies it, searches the web, translates it, changes its case, cleans up stray spaces, opens a link or starts an email.
The bar never takes focus, so your selection stays put. If Tapline has to borrow the clipboard to read a selection, it puts your clipboard back exactly as it was. Password fields are never read.
What it does
Bar on select
The bar appears a moment after you let go of the mouse. Prefer it only on demand? Select text and press the hotkey instead.
Everyday actions
Copy, Cut, Paste, Paste plain, Search, Translate, Define, Open link and Email. Each shows only when it makes sense for what you selected.
Fix in place
Change to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case or Sentence case, or clean up extra spaces and blank lines. Ctrl+Z in the app undoes it.
Word count
The bar shows how many words you selected. Click it to see words, characters and lines.
Your own actions
Add actions that open a web address or run a program with the selected text, each with its own icon.
Clipboard kept safe
When Tapline copies a selection to read it, your clipboard comes back exactly as it was, including images and files.
Knows its place
No bar in password fields, full-screen apps or apps you exclude. Pause it for an hour, until tomorrow, or until you resume.
