Click the tray icon or press Ctrl+Alt+S and your pads open with the cursor ready. Jot a phone number, paste a snippet, keep today's list.

There is no Save button. Every keystroke is written to disk as you type, so your text is still there after a crash, a power cut or a Windows Update restart.

What it does

  • Five pads

Each pad has its own color and an optional name. Ctrl+1 to Ctrl+5 switch between them.

  • Always saved

Every keystroke is saved as you type, and daily backups keep a copy of your pads from each of the last 7 days.

  • Undo clear

Clearing a pad can be undone, even after a restart. Ordinary undo goes back as far as you like until you quit.

  • Floating pads

Pin a pad as its own window that stays on top, collapses to a strip and remembers where you put it.

  • Light Markdown

Turn on Markdown styling for a pad and press Ctrl+E to see headings, lists and checkboxes you can tick.

  • Handy tools

Word and character counts, Copy all, export as .txt or .md, and the date and time with F5.

  • Big pastes

Paste a huge log and the pad stays responsive, showing it in a fast read-only view you can still copy and export.
