NotegroveWrite in plain Markdown and see headings, bold, lists, checkboxes and code styled as you type. The symbols stay out of the way except on the line you are editing, and your text is never changed to make it look that way.
Type #tags anywhere and nest them like #work/clients. Link notes with [[double brackets]], search every note as you type, jot something down from any app with Ctrl+Alt+Shift+N, and export to Markdown, PDF, Word or web pages.
Your notes stay on your PC. There is no account and no telemetry.
What it does
Live Markdown
Headings, bold, italic, highlights, lists, quotes, links and code blocks with syntax colors, styled as you type.
Nested tags
Type #tag anywhere in a note. Tags like #work/clients build the sidebar by themselves, and renaming a tag updates every note.
Wiki links
Link notes with [[double brackets]] and autocomplete. Each note lists its backlinks, and renaming a note updates the links to it.
Instant search
Search every note as you type, with operators like tag:work, has:todo, date:week and -word. Matches are highlighted.
Todos
Click a checkbox or press Ctrl+T. The Todo filter shows every note that still has open boxes.
Quick note
Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+N in any app to jot something down. It is saved as you type, and Esc hides it.
Export and backups
Export one note or all of them to Markdown, PDF, Word or web pages. Your notes are backed up every day, and deleted notes wait in Trash for 30 days.
Focus mode
Press F11 to hide the sidebars and just write, with optional typewriter scrolling.
