Press Ctrl+Alt+Space and everything clickable in the window you are in gets a short label: buttons, links, tabs, list items and menu items. Type the letters and it is clicked, without reaching for the mouse.

Hold Shift, Ctrl or Alt on the last letter for a right click, a Ctrl+click or a hover, or type the last letter twice to double-click. Press Space to search by name instead, or use a second hotkey to scroll with j and k.

Keyhop reads button names and positions only while the labels are up, using the same Windows accessibility features screen readers use. It keeps nothing about your screen.

What it does

  • Hint labels

Short labels from the home row of your keyboard appear on everything you can click in the window in front. Labels that no longer match fade as you type.

  • Click variants

Shift on the last letter right-clicks, Ctrl does a Ctrl+click, Alt moves the pointer there without clicking, and the last letter twice double-clicks.

  • Search by name

Press Space after the hotkey and type part of a name, like "sav" for Save as. Enter clicks the first match and Tab moves to the next.

  • Scroll mode

Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+J to scroll the focused pane, or the one under the pointer, with j and k, d and u for half a page, and g or Shift+G for the top and bottom.

  • Your layout

Labels follow your keyboard layout, or use letters you choose. Pick the label size, and use your accent color or your own colors.

  • Exclusions

Remote desktops, virtual machines and common games are left alone to start with, so their shortcuts reach the app. Add any app, or hide hints on tiny icons in one app.

  • No stray clicks

Hints appear only on elements that are actually visible, so a click never lands on something hidden behind another window.
